Demi Lovato Performs 'Skyscraper' on 'AGT' Results Show (VIDEO)

Filed under:

Demi Lovato, 'America's Got Talent'It was a tense results show, as usual, on 'America's Got Talent' (Wed., 9PM ET on NBC). But at least five acts out of the twelve are moving on this time, instead of four like in the previous round. We'd tell you how much that improves their odds, but we'll leave that math up to the Kinetic King.

To break the tension, Demi Lovato was on hand with her new single 'Skyscraper.' While she showed a lot of great stage presence and confidence, her vocals seemed to betray her nervousness a little bit at times. All in all, though, she gave a very commanding performance.

She was joined as a guest by the 'AGT' return of Prince Poppycock, who always knows how to put on a show, and The New Boyz with their single 'Better With the Lights Off.'

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

The New Boyz could have been talking about the first act through, as Team iLuminate was an obvious favorite to make it into the finals with their brilliant act. They were joined by opera singer Lys Agnes, teen band Poplyfe and dance troupe Miami All Stars. The last act would be decided by the judges from the fifth and sixth place acts based on America's vote.

For the second week in a row, West Springfield Dance Team found themselves in this position, only this time they were next to singer Daniel Joseph Baker, who showed a more subdued and tender side of himself in his performance this week.

Would three weeks in a row of performing knock the horror dance team from the competition? Apparently not, as they got the judge's favor a second time and moved onto the finals. The good news for them? They'll definitely not be performing next week. That's for the other twelve acts in the semifinals to get their shot at the finals.
