'Restaurant: Impossible' Gives a Mexican Sports Bar a Makeover (VIDEO)

Robert Irvine remodels Scirmmages Mexican sports bar on 'Restaurant: Impossible'The restaurant business is tough, and as shows like 'Restaurant: Impossible' (Wednesdays, 10PM on the Food Network) remind us, a few bad decisions can spell disaster for a small business owner. That was just reinforced when chef Robert Irvine tried to help a Mexican sports bar called Scrimmages in Wilmington, Delaware.

In this clip, Irvine is already in day two of observing the restaurant, and there were already plenty of problems, starting with the food. "When food does arrive," he said, "it's certainly not worth the wait." The vegetables, he noted, had seen better days, and some people waited 45 minutes for their meal.

Irvine helped Scrimmages set a 30-minute meal guarantee, and gave them a chips and cheese dish called "chachos." He also got them to renovate the bar to look more classic and inviting. The result was a restaurant packed with happy customers, a considerable feat.
