MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7'The Chicago Code' (9PM, FOX) series premiere
Cops and corruption are two themes that producer Shawn Ryan is very familiar with. That's because he took those subjects and merged them into fan and critical favorite 'The Shield,' which ran from 2002 to 2008 on FX. For his newest production, 'The Chicago Code,' Ryan throws the two subjects together in the middle of the Chicago Police Department. Starring Jennifer Beals as the city's first police superintendent, the series initially focuses on the creation of a task force to go against a powerful and corrupt alderman. The team includes a veteran cop, a number of newbies and an Irish street thug who blends in with the local crime community.
