'In Living Color' Coming Back to Fox

'In Living Color' is getting a re-boot from Fox. The network announced Friday night that they're bringing back a new version of the trailblazing '90s sketch comedy show that launched the careers of the Wayans Brothers, Jim Carrey, David Allen Grier and "Fly Girl" dancers, now reality show judges, J-Lo and Carrie Ann Inaba.The variety show will come back as two half-hour specials in the Spring of 2012. The specials will serve as a trial run for a possible full season.
Keenen Ivory Wayans, the original show's star and creator, will serve as host and executive producer this time around. The new version of 'In Living Color' will feature a new cast of comedic talents.

'Boss' Bosses Exit the Show

Kelsey Grammer's new Starz series 'Boss' just premiered last night, and there are already big shake-ups behind the scenes.According to Deadline, 'Boss' co-showrunners and executive producers Richard Levine and Lyn Greene are exiting the drama series, which was already renewed for a second season (yes, before it even premiered) last month.
Levine and Greene, formerly of 'Nip/Tuck,' were on board for the entire eight-episode first season to oversee things with first-time series creator and executive producer Farhad Safinia. Deadline's sources implied that Safinia was a quick study, but confirmed that the series is searching for a new writer/executive producer to join the team -- which also includes star Grammer, director Gus Van Sant, Brian Sher and Stella Bulochnikov -- for Season 2.

Review: 'Once Upon a Time's' Admirable Attempt to Bring Magic to Primetime

There's an earnestness to 'Once Upon a Time' (8PM ET Sunday, ABC) and while I find that quality winning, I can see how some people might be put off by not just the show's sincerity but its fanciful premise.TV's finest dramas tend to feature modern (or modern-seeming) characters of ambiguous morality who often give in to their worst impulses. There's really not a Prince Charming in the bunch, but one of the leads of 'Once Upon a Time' is the actual Prince Charming. He's not what you'd call edgy.
In some ways, though, 'Once Upon a Time's' square-ish optimism is what sets it apart from everything else on television at the moment. Well, that, and the fact that half of it is set in a universe populated by fairy tale characters such as the Evil Queen, Snow White and Jiminy Cricket.
Toto, we're not in regular primetime any more. And that alone is reason to give this show a shot.

Cinematographer Dennis Hall Dies on Set of USA's New Show

Cinematographer Dennis Hall died Thurs., Oct. 20, while shooting the new USA Network series, 'Common Law.' He was 54.Hall was in New Orleans with the crew filming when he suffered a heart attack in his hotel. His roommate, a camera operator, called the paramedics. They were unable to revive Hall.
"He could walk into a room that was deathly quiet or filled with negative energy and immediately liven everything up," cinematographer John C. Flinn III, who took Hall with him as his assistant on the 1980s TV shows 'Magnum, P.I.' and 'Jake and the Fatman,' told the Hollywood Reporter. "He was a great first assistant, a great cameraman and a great cinematographer. I'm so proud of him."

Looks like MTV loves Rob Dyrdek's 'Ridiculousness' just as much as teenage boys do.The network has renewed the funny viral video series for a second season. 'Ridiculousness' joins 'Awkward' and 'Teen Wolf' as a breakout hit for the network.
'Ridiculousness' averages 1.9 million viewers per week, a 1.8 rating in the network's target 12-34 demographic and is the network's second-highest rated show on the men 12-34 demographic, behind 'Jersey Shore.' The amateur viral video show also ranks second across all television in the 12-34 demo in its Monday night 10PM time slot.

'The League' Season 2 DVD Extra: Taco Sets Snakes Free in Andre's Office (VIDEO)

Season 3 of FX's fantasy football buddy comedy 'The League' premieres this week (Thurs., Oct. 6, 10:30PM ET), and to celebrate the impending awesomeness, we've got an exclusive deleted scene from the Season 2 DVD and Blu-ray, which released out today.In the clip, Taco (Jon Lajoie) comes to Andre's (Paul Scheer) plastic surgery office to present him with the Rod of Asclepius. Asclepius, of course, is the Greek God of healing, and Taco's interpretation of his rod is a cane with two rubber snakes wrapped around it.
But Taco -- being the perpetually stoned, lovable moron that he is -- also lets a few live snakes loose into the waiting room, because "Asclepius lets snakes wander freely in his place of healing."
"By the power of my staff, you are banished, Taco!" Andre yells. Taco then beats the snakes with his nunchucks. Naturally. Check out the clip after the jump.

Ben Folds joined Hoda Kotb as the guest host on the fourth hour of 'Today' (9AM ET on NBC) where he talked about what sets 'The Sing-Off' apart from other reality music shows and demonstrated his harmonizing skills by singing an improvised jingle made up of the notes on Hoda's cue cards."I think this show is socially significant. Music education has been on the down, and filling the space has been kids singing at colleges. There are about 4-8 A capella groups at each university now," he said." Anderson Cooper Daytime Show Accident Leaves Teenager in Coma

The early weeks of Anderson Cooper's daytime show saw him getting a spray-tan with Snooki, but things have turned far more serious after a young person involved in an upcoming episode was badly injured.Gawker is reporting that a teenager who was booked to appear on 'Anderson' is in a coma after sustaining a serious head injury in a skateboarding accident. A producer for the show had allegedly encouraged him "go out and film the crazy stuff that you do."
Cooper's reps have released a statement addressing the incident: "Our producers were working with a teen and his parents on a show about the science of the Teenage Brain, based on a National Geographic story. As part of our routine process, we ask guests for video footage and photos. We did not provide the family with a camera. On the morning that they were supposed to travel to NYC, we learned that the teen had been injured. We are very concerned about him, and are thinking of him and his family at this time."

Hurricane-Themed MacFarlane Cartoon Crossover Will Finally Air
Fox's 'Family Guy,' 'American Dad' & 'Cleveland Show' crossover will finally see the light of day on Sun., Oct. 2.The hurricane-themed set of episodes were supposed to air last season, but were pulled by the network after a series of storms and tornadoes wreaked havoc across the nation. Now, several months later, the episodes are set to air, but don't expect a lot of hoopla.
